Inflatable Pool Party Rules & Regulations

(Hirer Information)

1.No members of the party should be in the water whilst the aqua-run is being set-up. A lifeguard will highlight the rules and regulations for use of the aqua-run before instructing when it is safe to enter the water.

2.Anyone wishing to use the aqua-run must be able to swim at least 25 metres unaided.

3.At the beginning of the session, children unsure of their swimming ability will be asked by a lifeguard to swim a short distance in order to assess their ability and ultimately decide whether on not they will be able to use the aqua-run. The lifeguard on duties’ decision is final on instances where a member of the publics swimming ability is questionable.

4.At the end of quieter parties and if there is a suitable number of adults in the pool, children under 8 years old and/or can not swim 25 metres will be allowed onto the inflatable. Adults must line themselves along each side of the inflatable to help children to exit the pool once they have fallen from the inflatable. This can only take place in certain circumstances and is at the discretion of the lifeguards on duty, their decision is final.

5.All children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult in the water. This should be on a 1 to 1 ratio for those under 3 years old.

6.There must be a minimum of 2 adults in the pool at any one time during an inflatable pool party, of which at the start of the session may be asked to stand either side of the aqua-run for the first turn of each child – in case children unable to swim in deep water have unknowingly queued to use it.

7.Should any problems arise the duty manager should be called for. He or she will then explain the rules & regulations fully to the customer in question. It is imperative that lifeguards do not get into lengthy debates at any time; such distractions could lead to accidents.

Aqua-Run Rules:

•When lining up for the aqua-run there should be no pushing or jumping in the queue and party members in the queue should not jump into the water from the queue.

•Party members will use the aqua-run as directed by a lifeguard. The lifeguard will instruct the next person when it is safe to go onto the aqua-run. This is usually when the previous user has past the first few obstacles or if/when an individual has fallen off is a safe distance from the inflatable. No more than 4 people should be on the aqua-run at any time.

•Swimming under and hanging around the sides of the aqua-run is not permitted and when passing the last obstacle users must travel feet first into the pool.

•In addition, party members will be expected to follow our general poolside rules such as; no running, no diving, no shouting, no jewellery and no acrobatics (i.e. flips and spins into the pool).
